A business card people actually save
Typing a name, phone number and email from a paper card takes time, and people often skip it. A vCard QR code lets them save all of it with one scan.
Unlike "digital business card" services, this code does not depend on a subscription. Your details are stored in the pattern, so it keeps working forever.
How to do it
- Fill in your detailsYour name, company, phone number and email. Use the international phone format, for example +421 900 123 456.
- Check the codeThe more you add, the denser the code. Keep it to the details people really need.
- Download SVG or PDF for printFor business cards, print the code at least 2 × 2 cm.
- Test itScan it with your phone camera. It should offer to create a new contact with your details filled in.
Why this code never expires
Everything is stored in the pattern itself. There is no short link and no server in between, so nobody can switch the code off, not even us. See how other generators do it.
Questions
What is a vCard?
vCard is the standard file format for contact cards. Phones and email apps use it to save contacts, so a vCard QR code works on iPhone and Android without any app.
Which phones can read it?
The built-in camera on iPhone and on almost all Android phones reads vCard QR codes and offers to save the contact.
Can I update my details later?
No, the details are stored in the code itself. That is why it never expires. If your phone number changes, make a new code.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Saving the contact needs no internet connection, because everything is inside the code.
